Hi,
Just wondering what people advise regarding security. I am buying a new campervan (value around 50k) and am exploring my options for additional security measures. I have read that the front locks are not very good and should be changed. From the article on this website I also see that I should get a tracker and an alarm upgrade. Does this sound reasonable? I would be very interested to know what people have fitted to newer vans. Also is there anything obvious I am missing? I know that security measures are something that are constantly evolving.
Thanks for your answers. They will be much appreciated.

Research has shown that a visible deterrent such as a croc lock on the steering wheel offers a good initial deterrent, definitely worth adding to your list.
I’ve got as S7 tracker, Pro Lock steering wheel clamp and clutch brake clamp. I’ve also had the wiring loom on my OBD changed and housed in a Locked box.

I think you have it covered…
Tracker is the most important on something of that value. If it gets nicked the insurance payout will likely be a lot lower than what you were expecting. You want to get the van back if possible, or stop them taking it in the first place.
